Wow. I'm in Missouri and I'm reading Xanga posts about the debates.

So far, most people have talked about Kerry being the better speaker. Quite frankly, I think that's Kerry's problem. He sounded way too damn smart for me to like him. And, while you might laugh at Bush's inventions like "forciferous" or "pre-September 10th mentality", at least he doesn't sound smart.

Which is why I predict that it will be the last of the 3 debates before Kerry actually is able to assume the lead from Bush.

I'd still vote for Kerry if I could, but I can understand why he hasn't been able to beat Bush. If you've taken English AP with Culbertson, you'll get this analogy: why in the fuck do you think nobody in Hellas liked Theseus(except for the fucking Athenians) and loved Heracles?

To reiterate:

Kerry sounds like another high-born, caviar-sipping, Yalie intellectual.

Rich-ass SOB.

Bush is a down-home, good ol' boy who's too dumb to lie(never mind whether that's true or not)

It's partly how he talks, and partly how he looks. Bush has a round cheery face, like he's an old chum of yours. Kerry has a long droopy face. He looks serious, and in a I-told-you-we-would-all-die sort of way to make it worse. And you can't fucking sip caviar.
